As we discussed in class, some isotopes will go through a series of steps to get from unstable parent to stable daughter (the Uranium 238 to Lead 206 example). Using the decay types discussed in class, list the path that you would take to get from a parent atom of Thorium 232 to a daughter atom of Lead 208.
Thorium: Symbol = Th, atomic number =90, atomic weight/mass =232
Lead: Symbol =Pb, atomic number =82, atomic weight ?? mass =208
For each step, give the type of decay, the resulting atom and the change to both the atomic number and the atomic weight/mass (similar to what I gave above, but add in, the - decay itype).
