As you learned this week, at the beginning of any research study, it is important to create a conceptual framework or context within which the study will be conducted. For example, one defining characteristic of a rigorous literature review is how well it explores current perspectives surrounding elements that might relate to the framework you are trying to construct for your own study. Therefore, referring to the Concepts, Theory and the Literature Review Process lecture, and the research interests you explored in your presentation, answer the following questions: 1. What do you see as the purpose of a conceptual framework in relation to conducting and writing up your research? 2. Which of the 3 sources for designing a conceptual framework (experience, literature, theory) are you most likely to draw from for your research? Explain why. 3. Why is personal experience a valid but insufficient stimulus for a study's conceptual framework?
