Assessment of Advocacy
Jacqui was apprehended on a bike path by two police officers while riding home from work. They approached her in a confronting way and asked for her name and address. When Jacqui asked why they were taking her details, one of the officers said she was riding without lights. Jacqui insisted that it was still "..f@....."daylight. One of the officers then took her roughly by the arm and she pulled back. Next thing she knew she had been physically restrained and was struggling to resist. Now she faces a number of charges including resisting arrest, using offensive and abusive language and assaulting an officer of the law.
