ASSESSMENT TASKS

1. Identify and investigate two (2) contemporary business leaders that you admire, from any business sector and from any country.
2. Then analyse and assess if the leadership styles, attributes and influence tactics of your two chosen leaders are effective in their specific business situations, by answering Questions A to E, below.

Questions

1. Introduction: describe briefly the leadership styles and attributesof each leader that you have chosen and their specific field(s) of business. (NB: remember that some leaders use different leadership styles to suit different situations)

1. Identify each leader's relevant source(s) of power. Do they also aim to empower their followers - and if so, how?
2. Analyse the influence tactics that each leader uses and assess if these skills are effective in building credibilityand motivatingtheir followers.
3. Rate the emotional intelligence (ability to manage our emotions and behaviours, and manage our relationships with others) of each leader on the Likert scale below:

1 = Very low ability

2 = Moderately low ability

3 = Slightly low ability

4 = Neutral

5 = Slightly high ability

6 = Moderately high ability

7 = Very high ability
