Assessment topic: Enterprise Systems and Architecture $($ESA$)$ design project

Task details:

The students are required to identify the core processes and design a suitable $$ESA blueprint for a "healthcare industry$.$ The assessment should include the use of appropriate framework and discuss on how the framework can be used for developing the blueprint of the ESA. Every group should prepare a case study on hospital. To design a suitable ESA structure for the chosen organisation, the groups are required to

present the following in the report:

$1.$ Identify the core business and support functions: front office and back office processes, core information entities, transactions and information flows, material and financial systems

$2.$ Support systems, internal and external integration

$3.$ Provide a summary of what architecture framework used for organising the information $$ Students should choose Zachman framework and provide a justification on why they believe this framework is suitable for the organisation.

$4.$ Provide a discussion on what will be the most suitable enterprise system for your selected

organisation and why? The justification should be provided in relation to the business processes.

The report should address the following requirements as mentioned in the following table:

$1-$ Executive Summary: A short description as to what is addressed in the

report

$2-$ Information Gathering: Identify core business processes and support functions; front office and back$-$office systems, core information entities; transactions and information flows; material and financial systems.

$3-$ Future Technology: Support systems for running the business and management; and external and internal integration

$4-$ Application of Zachman Framework ESA blueprint: ESA for the organization using the selected framework with the ESA blueprint

$5-$ ESA Skills and Ethics: Discuss on the skills, roles and responsibilities and

the ethical requirements in using, distributing the EA information and the business process

information

$6-$ Conclusion and Referencing: Provide a conclusion on the above

discussion and referencing $($Harvard Anglia
