A stringed instrument generates a complex waveform with the following components:

• 250 Hz with an amplitude of 5 Pa
• 500 Hz with an amplitude of 3 Pa

1. What is the fundamental frequency?
2. What other harmonic is represented?
3. What equation would represent this complex waveform?
4. Calculate the amplitude values every 45 (0, 45, 90, etc.).
5. Plot the resulting points on a graph of degrees vs. pressure, and connect them to see the shape of the complex waveform.
