Assignment #4 - Arbitration of a Case This assignment relates to the following Course Learning Objectives: CLO 12: Critique the arbitration process in terms of equitable treatment of workplace pares CLO 13: Conduct an arbitration session to end a workplace dispute CLO 15: Evaluate workplace dispute resolution systems related to fair treatment of employees Objective of this Assignment: To recognize activity that has lead to a real work place conict that requires arbitration, analyze the arbitration process, and to play the role of the arbitrator to determine if a different ruling would have been made. Pre-Assignment Instructions: 1. To prepare you for this assignment, review the content from module 12. Assignment Tasks: Select one of the 8 cases and read and answer the following questions about that case: P'WJ'MWNE" Name of the arbitrator, the parties to the arbitration, and the date of decision Name all witnesses who testied at the hearing and a brief account of their evidence. Summarize the evidence produced by both sides of the dispute Describe at least two arguments raised by each party. Describe the decision of the arbitrator and the reasons provided If you were the arbitrator what would be your decision? Provide reasons as they relate to information learned in the course. 7.
