Students are required to watch the Border Security Video. This is an encounter with a passenger/ traveller. There are multiple interactions within the video. Student will write their report solely on the interaction with the traveller returning from Jamaica. The report should be written in the first person (as if the student is the officer). While watching the video, it will be imperative that the student take detailed notes on the situation as these will be used later in your report. It will be good to notate pertinent details such as the date and times of each stage of the encounter with the passenger, physical descriptions, actions taken by the officer and the passenger. If discussing any piece of legislation. Border Security Reports will be submitted to the instructor through blackboard.

1. Use the notes that you took while watching the scenario and plan out your report logically, as if you were really on the job as the officer and would have to testify to this in court at a later date.
2. Articulate all inferences made i.e."The traveller's hands were shaking when asked routine questions. She avoided eye contact numerous time during our interaction. The signs exhibited are consistent with someone who is nervous."
