Assignment Description:

First of all the group of students are expected to choose a company in Oman (Example Al Shams Titles in Nizwa). Students are not expected to change their chosen company at any point of time during the course assignment without the permission of the concerned course teacher. Once they have chosen the company either they can personally visit the company or get a contact from the company and through telephone or email they can get the required information or through the internet they can collect the required details and submit during week 13 of the lecture.

General Guidelines-

1. Type in A4 paper, single space; font type and size = Arial 12; margin = 1 inch for all sides.

2. Include your name and student ID no. in the cover page. Use the attached template.

3. Be original.

4. Include any references if some ideas were taken from books, magazines, or the Internet.

5. Number of pages (excluding the cover page): Between 3-5 Pages(750-1000 words)

6. Group assignment is due on Thursday 1.00 pm of the 13 th weekof lecturing.

During the fourth week the students are expected to form a group and inform the same to the course teacher through google-sharedfile.

Write a paragraph on the Introduction and Profile of the company with photographs of the company and the products, which they manufacture.

Write a short introduction about the company.

Write a short paragraph on the planning process of the company.

Write a short paragraph on the organizing process of the company.

Write a short paragraph on the staffing process of the company.

Write a short paragraph on the directing process of the company.

Write a short paragraph on the controlling process of the company.

Write a short paragraph on the link between this assignment and the content of principles of management course.

What are the benefits that can be achieved as a result of making controlling?

Please use PowerPoint slides in order to come up with some questions for each function of management.

The students collecting data from any source, you are required to quote the exact reference (APA style) of the source- plagiarism (taking info/ imitation/ presenting data or information/ presenting views/ opinion/ without reference to the original (online or other) source). In case of plagiarism he/she will be penalized.
