Your task this week is to draft a legal memo.

Read the two documents below. One is a PDF of the relevant facts for this assignment, the other is a PDF of the short case you will use as the basis for your legal memo. All the information you need is contained in those two documents.

This legal memo should follow the standard formatting approach we have discussed in class. There is an example of the essential elements of a legal research memo on the Canvas pages for this Module -- as well as a sample legal research memo that can serve as an example.

Most important is that your memo:

• Be written in sentence/paragraph narrative form
• Include all essential elements and proper formatting discussed in class
• Provide a clear and accurate assessment of both the facts and the law
• Include an analysis of the facts that is based upon the sources of law you have been provided.
• Be precise, accurate, and methodical in our analysis. This section will form a significant portion of your grade.
• Reach a well-reasoned and supported conclusion about how the law applies in this particular circumstance
