Background History: Patient disclosed that she has a long history of using varies drugs and alcohol for most of her life. She has struggled with relationship issues over the last 15 years and these issues tend to cause increase abuse of drugs and alcohol. In 2020 her 4 children were removed by family members who received a court order. The children remained out of the home for almost 18 months. The children were removed due to the Patients uses of drugs. Around 6 months of the children being out of the home the patient admits to stepping up drug use from Marijuana to Meth multiple times a day. This continued for approximately 6 months. Mikayla was able to work at sobriety that resulted in her children returning home
Current Situation: Patient was involved in a domestic disturbance in May 2023 that resulted in her arrest and being charges with 4 counts of child abuse. At the time of arrest the patient was court ordered to undergo a hair follicle test which showed at the time of arrest the patient had Alcohol, Cocaine, and Marijuana in large quantities for a long period of time. The father of the children was also ordered a hair follicle test and it came back positive for everything but fentanyl. The children have again been removed from the home and both parents have been order to do weekly drug testing. To day the Patient has failed every testing coming back positive mostly for alcohol claiming it must be her medication however when retested in the same week patient will come back negative.
