Assignment Instructions:

1. At the end of the Army Design Methodology (ADM) lessons you will be required to write a paper on two (2) of the four (4) focused areas listed below. The student (you) will select the topic of your choice. The goal of this style of assessment is to present focused areas within the doctrine and lesson material that you research, discuss with your peers, and consider throughout the presentation of the entire lesson series. a. Focused-Area 1- Framing: Describe the process and concept of framing the operational environment and how you envision facilitating this process as an operations sergeant major. Provide at least one relevant example to support your response. b. Focused-Area 2- Framing: Describe the process and concept of framing a problem and how you envision facilitating this process as an operations sergeant major. Provide at least one relevant example to support your response. c. Focused-Area 3- Reframing: Describe the process and concept of continuous assessment and reframing and how you envision facilitating this process as an operations sergeant major. Provide at least one relevant example to support your response. d. Focused-Area 4- Operational Approach: Describe the process and concept of developing an operational approach and how you envision facilitating this process as an operations sergeant major. Provide at least one relevant example to support your response. Requirements: You will write a no less than 750word to no greater than 1300-word (not including the cover and reference pages) thoroughly discussing two of the four above focused areas. You must use the American Psychological Association (APA) seventh edition style. You must use proper citations and references to identify borrowed material and avoid plagiarism. The department chair will determine the due dates and post them on the training schedule. No images or tables are authorized as part of the main body of work. If you feel you require them to illustrate your point you can add them as an appendix, yet this will not count as part of the assignment requirements. Structure of the Paper Title Page - Standard SMC format. Introduction - This section is where you will present the purpose of the FAWA. Here is where you are required to introduce ADM and its purpose and then you will transition to the actual FAWA question. Body of the Paper - Here you write "FAWA Question 1" and subsequently "FAWA Question 2" in bold font, proceeding FAWA Question the actual focus topic will NOT be written in bold font (see below example). Conclusion-Here you should simply summarize the question at issue, your purpose, and main points. References-You must use proper citations and references to identify borrowed material and avoid plagiarism. To meet the standard a minimum of one reference must be effectively used.
