To simulate the design using testbenches. To implement and fully test the design on the DE0-nano board. To document the design, simulation, and testing in the form of a joint report. To demonstrate the functionality of the final design. 2. Functional Requirements and Constraints A lift calling and control system is to be designed. A bespoke hardware interface using the DE0-nano board FPGA is to be designed. This interface is to use appropriate voltage levels suitable for the DE0-nano and should consist of the following: a lift controller capable of moving personnel between four floors; call buttons (up/down) and LEDs at each floor . doors open, doors closing and doors closed LEDs in the lift carriage floor select buttons inside the carriage a "bar graph" showing the position of the lift and the motion of the lift an emergency stop button which stops the lift at the nearest floor and opens the doors. VHDL code and appropriate hardware is to be developed to control the lift, including a suitable algorithm to decide the motion of the lift carriage and which floor(s) it stops at. Suitable delays are to be implemented so as to represent the relative delays in a 'real' system. Enhancements to the design will attract extra marks. Additional hardware may be constructed on a breadboard if necessary. this will be different at the top and bottom floors * depending on your design there may be sufficient hardware on the DEO-nano board
