After watching The Prize video and reading chapter 17 complete this assignment.

"Ametaphoris a figure of speech in which a word or phrase denoting one kind of object or action is used in place of another to suggest a likeness or analogy between them: the person being addressed in "you're a peach" is being equated with a peach, with the suggestion being that the person is pleasing or delightful in the way that a peach is pleasing and delightful."

The octopus became a popular symbol or metaphor for Standard Oil for many reasons. Look at the cartoon below and list at least 5 distinct attributes of an octopus as an animal (do not use the example given to you) that metaphorically represent standard oil as seen in the cartoon. Describe how/why each one of your reasons shows that the octopus is a great representation of the oil industry. This should be done in a numbered bullet point format.

2. Make sure that all of your sources are credible (i.e., not Wikipedia-type sources).
3. You will need to be able to cite all of your sources correctly - you may use APA, MLA, or whichever preferred method you have as long as it is a standard method of citation.

5. As you record your sources break into the following groups:
   1. Upload pictures of each of your resources that you have obtained from your park (park brochure, Jr Ranger pamphlet, other materials that they have sent to you that were free). If you are not able to get them from your park search for them on the internet.
   2. Include at least 3 other National Park Services (.NPS) sources that you are using as part of your presentation.
   3. You need to use at least 3 primary sources/documents within your presentation and cite them correctly.
      1. Include an image of what you are using within your presentation under the citation.
      2. In the study of history as an academic discipline, a primary source (also called original source or evidence) is an artifact, document, diary, manuscript, autobiography, recording, or any other source of information that was created at the time under study.
   4. At least 5 other non-NPS resources.

Make sure to include your works cited at the end of your Prezi presentation as well or you will lose points!
