Assignment Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to practice creating Entity Relationship Diagrams $($ERDs$).$ An ERD diagram illustrates the logical structure of databases. They are used to sketch out the design of a database. They play a key part in designing an efficient database.

Instructions

Create an ERD for the following scenario. Once you submit you will get access to the solution. Watch the video and correct any errors in your submission. Once you resubmit with corrections you will get the participation points.

A small company Acme Spas, would like a database to keep track of their spa information. Acme has a small warehouse with some of the models on display for the customer to view. They don$$t however carry any spas in stock. Any spa sold must be pre$-$ordered. Acme can get spas from several different manufacturers and each manufacturer produces one or more different brands of spas. Each brand is produced by only one manufacturer. Every brand has one or more models and every model is produced as part of a brand. For example, AquaLife spas is a manufacturer that produces Niagara LS spas, a premium level brand, and Largo LS spas, an entry level brand. The Niagara LS spas brand offers several models including the NLS$-10,$ a $120$ jet spa with two $3$ XP$2$ Dual Speed Motors, and the OCA$-5,$ a $75$ jet spa with three XP$2$ Dual Speed Motors. Every manufacturer is identified by a manufacturer ID$.$ The company name, address, area code, phone number, and account number are kept in the system for every manufacturer. For each brand, the brand name and the brand level open $($premium$,$ mid level, or entry level$)$ are kept in the system. For each model, the model number, number of jets, number of Motors, number of horsepower per motor, suggested retail price, Acme retail price, dry weight, water capacity, and seating capacity need to be kept in the system.
