Assume that as part of its review of the taxation of companies, the New Zealand Government has tasked Inland Revenue with reviewing the tax treatment of amalgamations by companies with a view to making it more attractive for companies to use. Assume also that you work for the Policy and Regulation Stewardship Group (PRSG) and have been requested to undertake an initial analysis of areas of the taxation of amalgamations that should be reviewed. Alongside these areas, reasons as to why they should be looked at need to be provided. Within your outline, you should also identify areas of the taxation of amalgamations that are working well in accordance with the underlying policy. REQUIRED: Prepare a draft of an internal report to go to the head of the PRSG (David Carrigan) setting out the areas in need of review with supporting reasoning. You should also indicate areas that you believe are working as intended and do not need to be reviewed. This draft report should not exceed 500 words. No executive summary is required
