Question 2 Micro Accounting System (MAS) was introduced in 1992 which provides more information and it is similar to Activity-Based-Costing which its objective is to determine the cost of outputs produced by Government departments. Thus, in calculating total cost of an output, identification of all the resources used to produce the particular output is necessary which then the activity costs be determined and the cost of output be consolidated. Its implementation would further improve the strategic planning process and engender the optimal utilization of resources. This is closely related to the 3E's concept applied by the government in performance measurement. In general, the implementation of (MAS) would further enhance the accountability and the performance of Public Sector service.
