2022 model from a Mazda dealer. Insurance on the new car was very expensive and so Mondli's father, who was proud of his son's achievements and wanted to help him financially, told Mondli that he would insure the car for Mondli. Mondli's father took out a policy and paid the monthly insurance premiums.

Nine months later, the car was stolen. Mondli's father submitted a claim to the insurer

who refused to pay, stating that one of the essential elements of the insurance contract

was missing.

Advise Mondli of his legal position on whether or not he should proceed with a

claim against the insurance company.
