At Big Car Ltd., customers provide the Customer Service clerk at the desk in the lobby in Dearborn with their payment check and tells the clerk their name and address. The clerk keys in their name and address to find the customer's account in the drop boxes on their screen (the system uses the Customer Master file), then enters the amount on the check. A receipt is immediately printed and given to the customer. The checks are endorsed and filed with the payment slips by date. The keyed cash receipt information updates a Daily file in Detroit.

A Cash Receipts List is automatically printed at the end of the day by the local server using the daily file. The IT Manager sends to the Operations Manager, whose tasks are flowcharted on page 7 (you do NOT have to draw page 6).
