  1. Assume you have a checking account for your business. Go to D2L, FE Project Module in Content, FE Chapter 5 to explore recent activity for this checking account. This submodule includes 8 checks written for your business, numbers 664 671. Additionally, you will find in the Module copies of 4 deposit slips for 4 separate deposits made for your business.
  2. Using only these checks and deposit slips, complete the check register also given in this Module in D2L. Do not assume that you are writing additional checks or making other deposits. Make sure to arrange the checks and deposit slips in chronological order prior to entering them into the check register.
  3. FE Project Module in D2L, Content, FE Chapter 5 also includes the bank statement for your business.
    1. Be sure to check off the items on the register that appear on the bank statement. There is a column for this.
    2. Any items on the bank statement that you did not know about prior to receiving the bank statement interest credit, returned check charge, and service charge should be added after the check and deposits you made.
    3. In the balance column write the new balance for each transaction.
  4. You will need to reconcile the given bank statement for your business account with the check register you constructed in part 2. Use the reconciliation form (given in the Module). Ensure that the amounts reconcile.
