Assume you have been asked by St. Joseph's University to be a student
member of its Strategic Planning Committee. You have been asked to provide
feedback to help improve the financial and operational performance of the
university and its subunits (campuses, departments). You suggested a balanced
scorecard approach.
. Identify 2 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each of the 4 Perspectives
(Financial, Customer, Internal Business, and Leaming & Growth) of the
Balanced Scorecard (8KPI s in total) and explain what measure that KPI
provides. For example, one KPI that could be used in evaluating the financial
perspective is 2023-2024 tuition revenue. This will help in determining if the
current year's revenue is sufficient to cover 2023-2024 expenses. (You may
use this as one of your KPIs if you choose.)
Financial Perspective: Note: When addressing this perspective, keep in mind
that St. Joseph's is a not-for-profit institution.
