Prepare the adjusting entry at 31 December 2019 for bad debts expense assuming that the ageing schedule indicates that $22.400 of accounts receivable will be uncollectable. 2. In the following month, 31st January 2020, a $ 1.700 account receivable is written off as uncollectable. Prepare the journal entry to record the write-off. 3. Repeat (2) assuming that Jason Ltd uses the direct write-off method instead of the allowance method in accounting for bad debts. 4. On 31 March 2020, a cheque of $1,700 was received from the customer whose account was written off on 31st January 2020.
