At an executive staff meeting, the VP for HRER made the following statement:

Our talent development office has been particularly busy conducting several training initiatives. The three most important have been: 1. Completing sexual harassment training for all staff; 2. Creating a new onboarding process, including training modules on our organization's mission/vision/values statement; 3. Skills training for machinists. During the last three months, employees have received an average of 14.2 learning hours, and 78 per cent of the staff have completed all three training modules. In this context our training staff members have been quite busy, teaching an average of 27 hours per week, an increase of 3.2 hours above last year's comparable figure. Given this evidence it is clear that we have been both efficient and effective in completing our talent development responsibilities. You are the CEO of the organization. After the meeting at which the VP spoke, you began to question the quality of her report. Suppose you are familiar with the learning associated with this lesson. Compose a memo to the VP evaluating her report:

  • What information that she presented is useful to the organization?
  • What information needs to be addressed differently?
  • What information is not addressed that should have been included?
