At the beginning of class, we looked at leadership theories and models in the Appendix of the Johns textbook and Chapter 21 of the Ochs & Watters textbook. These help take abstract or qualitative ideas often found in human communication like leadership and help try to define and quantify what they are - this way we can study and learn to improve our own leadership skills.
