At the beginning of the 2021 year, Roxie Corporation had NORMAL BALANCES in Accounts Receivable [$200,000] and Allowance for Doubtful Accounts [$20,000]. During 2021, Roxie had sales of $500,000 and cash collections of $400,000 on those sales. In addition, Roxie wrote off $20,000 as uncollectible accounts receivable. Strangely, a $5,000 account that had been previously written off submitted a cash payment to Roxie. Roxie accepted this cash. Roxie uses an Accounts Receivable method of dealing with uncollectible accounts. Based on this, a review of the outstanding Accounts Receivable at year-end indicated that $35,000 is believed to be potentially uncollectable. Please provide answers to the following four questions and the end of 2021: 1. What is the Accounts Receivable Balance at year-end? 2. What is the amount that will be recorded in Bad Debt Expense for the year? 3. What is the balance in Allowance for Doubtful Accounts at the end of the year? 4. What is the Net Receivable Value of the receivables for Roxie Corporation?
