He registered it in London in his name, and when his contract had expired, he decided to ship it to Zambia. Along the way, his childhood friend, Zacks Billy made him an offer to buy the car at 10,000 United States Dollars. They agreed that Zacks remits the money to Muzungu, which he did, and that ownership would pass upon completion of all the formalities of change of ownership and delivery in Zambia. Muzungu completed all formalities but while driving the car to Makeni where Zacks stayed, there was a head on collision with a truck, and Muzungu was fatally injured. The car was written off. Later when Zacks approached Muzungu to chat the way forward, Muzungu replied that the contract had been frustrated by unforeseen circumstances.
