GRACE BAPTIST SCHOOL EMPLOYEE CONTRACT This agreement made and entered into at Madison, Indiana between the Administration of Grace Baptist Schools, hereafter designated as "school" and hereafter 20 designated as "teacher", for employment as a teacher at Grace Baptist Schools, Madison, Indiana for the 20_ school year according to the terms and conditions set forth below: (1) Grace Baptist Church of Madison, Indiana Inc. is an independent, fundamental, Bible-believing and teaching New Testament Church. Grace Baptist Schools are a ministry of Grace Baptist Church of Madison, Indiana Ino. Grace Baptist Church of Madison, IN Inc. adheres to the following Statement of Faith: DOCTRINAL STATEMENT We believe that the Holy Bible as originally written was verbally inspired, and therefore, absolutely free from any error. The Authorized K.J.V. will be our translation for public reading, but is not to be considered as the original. Translations are not inspired. II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21. II. We believe there is only one living and true God, manifested in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. Exodus 20:2-3; I Cor. 8:6; Rev. 4:11; I John 5;7. III. We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit; that He is active in the work of creation and redemption; that He is the agent of the new birth; that He seals, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies and helps the believer. We believe in the cleansing of sin through the sacrificial and mediatorial work of the Son of God upon the cross of Calvary; that He took the sinner's place, the just dying for the unjust. We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again; that the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus; that in the new birth a person becomes the partaker of the divine nature and receives eternal life, the free gift of God. Should an absence be necessary due to the teacher's illness, the teacher must call the principal as far in advance as possible. The school provides five (5) sick days per year to be used for teacher illness. Two (2) days of personal leave are provided per year, however prior approval must be secured before taking it. Some absences may be necessary for the teacher other than personal illness. Each situation will be appropriately handled and decisions will be made concerning pay as the need arises. Absences exceeding the limits stated above may result in a loss of salary for the day. (18) This agreement is issued upon the contingency that sufficient students will enroll for the 2014. -20/5 school year to justify a classroom situation for the teacher's particular area. The administration serves the right to terminate this agreement before _July 30,2016f, if sufficient students fail to enroll. (19) This agreement between the teacher and school may be terminated by the school for one of the following reasons: A. The teacher will respect their God-given position and will not criticize their decisions and policies. (8) The teacher will strive to build school loyalty in his or her students by outwardly demonstrating love for this work. The teacher will never criticize any aspect of this work in front of students, parents, or other teachers. All constructive criticism will be brought only to the pastor and principal after much prayer and consideration. (9) The teacher will carry out to the best of their abilities all the duties assigned as a teacher at the school by the pastor or administrator. These duties may be changed slightly during the school year as deemed necessary by the administration. Some other duties the teacher agrees to perform include: 1. Promptly and regularly completing and maintaining all records, forms, reports, and charts as requested by the school. 2. Attending, on time, and participating in as needed, all regular and special faculty prayer meetings, teachers' meeting, school meetings, and Parent-teacher Fellowships. 3. Attending the required training program and such seminars, conferences and professional activities as the as the school might establish or require. 4. Supervising students before, during, and after school as assigned by the principal. 5. Serving in your position with an attitude of cooperation, respect, and diligence so our Lord will be honored. 6. Completing all duties for closing out the school year and staying until everyone is finished and dismissed. After students are dismissed, the remaining days are to be considered full days for each faculty member. (10) " The teacher will abide by and enforce all regulations, rules and procedures set forth in the school's Student Handbook and will dress according to the school standards for all occasions. (11) The teacher agrees to attend all school functions, whether student or faculty oriented. Each teacher is responsible at least in part for the success of all school related functions and should seek to help in any area where needed, (12) The teacher will cooperate fully and completely with the school, Grace Baptist Church, the pastor, administrator and supervisory staff in implementing the religious, academic, pedagogical and disciplinary policies, practices and programs of the school. (13) The school shall assign the grades or grade which the teacher will teach. Personal preference of the teacher will be given consideration. (14) The maintenance of doctrinal integrity in the school and the personal acceptance, teaching, and adherence by the employees to the teachings, doctrines, tenets, and beliefs of Grace Baptist church in the school is of critical importance. The school may terminate this agreement should they, in their discretion, deem a violation of such teachings, doctrines, tenets, and beliefs has occurred. Upon such termination the teacher will receive either thirty (30) days written notice or thirty (30) days severance pay. In the event a teacher leaves the school for any reason he or she agrees to leave with the least amount of disturbance possible.
