Attorneys routinely read and interpret legal opinions, also known as judicial opinions or cases. In order to better understand the various parts of a legal opinion, attorneys prepare case briefs. A case brief is a summary of a judicial opinion that is created by the reader. The case brief includes an objective synopsis of each major portion of the legal opinion.
