Audible hearing range spans from about 20 Hz to 20000 Hz. Design a Low pass filter (second and first order) such that the cutoff frequency will adequately attenuate the high frequencies above 20000 Hz and pass the low frequencies.
-
(1) Discuss your Circuits in the frequency domain (show all your calculations using phasor).
-
(2) Discuss your Circuits in the s-domain (show all your calculations using Laplace transform).
-
(3) Evaluate H(j!), H(s) and show that H(s) = H(j!), when s = j!.
-
(4) Evaluate |H(j!)| and \H(j!).
-
(5) Draw the Bode phase and amplitude (both in linear and dB scale) plot.
-
(6) Simulate your circuits.
-
(7) Test your circuit (by using theory and simulated circuit). Include a table that shows the following; Input frequency signal (test different frequency ranges), The Peak-to-peak value of input voltage, Peak-to-peak value of output voltage, Phase difference between input and output wave , Gain/Attenuation Factor and Gain/Attenuation in dB (Dont forget to discuss the difference between first and second order types).
