Robert and Julie are friends who have decided to enter the property market because of the investment gains that are currently being enjoyed. Robert's wife Harriet is concerned that whilst Robert and Julie are currently friends, the friendship may not continue, or disputes may arise in the future.

Given these concerns, would you recommend they purchase the property as tenants in common or as joint tenants? Ensure your answer that explains each concept and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
