Automotive safety has improved dramatically over the past 100 years. Early automobiles were notoriously dangerous to drivers and occupants during crash situations. Over the years, engineers iteratively made improvements that gradually reduced the risk of death and serious injury.

Research to find out how physics has helped to make us safer on the road. You can research any type of vehicle or aspect you would like (car, truck, motorcycle, seat belts, infant car seats, racing cars etc.).

Find an article or website that discusses the safety, summarizes the resource, and explains the physics involved that has been attributed to the safety. Make sure you provide a link to the resource you are discussing. Use the laws of motion that you learned about in this course to support your discussion.
