July 24 Directors declared a $2.2/share ($66,000) cash dividend payable on August 31st to shareholders of record on July 31st. Aug. 31 Paid the dividend declared on July 24th. Sep 24 Purchased 18,400 shares of its own stock at $63/share for $1,159,200 cash. Oct. 28 Sold 8,800 of its treasury shares at $68/share for $598,400 cash. Required: Prepare jounal entries for the transactions above.
