Merry was keen to display the sculptures at her exhibition. However she was willing to pay $8000 only. John replied that he would sell it for $12,000. Merry then said that she needed some time to buy it for that price, however, she deposited $2,000/- into John's account as deposit for the purchase. The next day, Merry called John to tell him that she was ready to buy the antique piece for $15,000. However, John informed her that he had already sold it to Lily for $25,000.
