i. Deens Toys is a medium-sized toy wholesaler. The firm is in the process of converting its manual accounts receivable system to a new computer-based accounts receivable system. The old system had very few errors. Management insists that the new system has to work as well as the old system. Cost is no object to get the system converted properly.
ii. Auto Parts Inc. is a large company that needs to convert its inventory system. The inventory system is very large and it affects 8 different departments and over 500 users. The firm cannot afford to run the whole new system while at the same time running the old system.
