B2. Arnold is an Architect appointed by a Property Developer responsible for a new development of a smart city. His ideas of the project are as follows: (i) The new development must consist of some iconic and high energy-efficient buildings; (ii) Major functional specifications of the new development will be prepared later for invitation of Main Contractors to tender all associated design and build works; and (iii) A competent Main Contractor with international experience shall be assigned to ensure high quality deliverables. (a) Propose a suitable contract type to Arnold, with explanation, so that the Property Developer can appoint a suitable Main Contractor.
