BAC1054 PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING CASE STUDY ASSIGNMENT This assignment is 20% of your coursework. This is a group assignment for a maximum of 4 members. You will need to submit a written report as per instructions below. 1. All questions are based on the information provided in the case study. 2. The last page should be used as the cover page of the assignment. Answer all questions stated at the end of the case study. Marks awarded for each question is indicated. 3. You are allowed to refer to outside sources to answer the questions, please include a reference list for these outside sources. 4. The answers should be typewritten in Times New Roman font size 12, one and half-spaced, margins left/right at 1.25" and top/bottom at 1". 5. Calculations should be shown clearly preferably in table format. It is not necessary to show the formula for individual items as long as they are clearly labeled. Use of Excel is strongly recommended. Current Designs has two main product lines-Customade trolleys, which are handmade and very labor-intensive, and Heavy duty trolleys, which require less labor but employ more expensive equipment. Current Designs' controller, Dina, is now evaluating several different methods of assigning overhead to these products. It is important to ensure that costs are appropriately assigned to the company's products. At the same time, the system that is used must not be so complex that its costs are greater than its benefits. Dina has decided to use the following activities and costs to evaluate the methods of assigning overhead.
