You will prepare a new Bill of Costs based on the information contained in the old Bill of Costs in the Munch 9. Entropy case attached. The Bill of Costs will be prepared using the draft Costs Grid. The plaintiff was successful in the action. You can assume that the Senior Counsel was called to the bar in 2005, while the junior counsel was called to the har in 2914, Prepare the Bill of Costs on Partial Indemnity Scale. The appropriate hourly rate will be applied to the preparation time and trial dates noted on the old Bill of Costs. The preparation of the pleadings took 3 hours, the discovery of documents took 5 hours, rather than $100; setting down for trial took 2 hours, rather than $36; the contested motion was 4 hours, and is to be billed on an hourly basis, rather than $150, the pre-Arial conference was 3 Imurs, rather than $75; and preparing the judgment was 2 hours, rather than $75. You select which member of the firm participated in these steps. For the examinations for discovery, use the number of hours noted, but apply the hourly rate for counsel shown on the Costs Grid. For trial preparation and conducting the trial, the old Bill of Costs sets out the hours of participation of the two counsel. In regard to disbursements, the cost of issuing the Statement of Claim is now $230 and setting down for trial is $405. The disbursement for setting down for trial is in addition to the fee for the two hours of time in setting the action down for trial.) The was of $60 was paid to the process server, the attendance money was $53.00, the sum of 5400 was paid to the Official Examiner, and $150 was paid for copies of documents. There is HST of 13% on the fees and the disbursements, ofher thin the onthi didversements for issuing the Statement of Claim and for setting the action down for trial. In addition, prepare costs submissions on behalf of the DEFENDANT, Entropy Computer Company Lid., justifying costs on the partial indemnity bush.
