A start-up company has bought out the rights to a defunct scooter brand company.
The old design with brushed DC motors, 7Ahr, 12V Sealed lead acid battery bank and solid rubber wheels 5" diameter wheels sold well, but suffered from longevity and range issues.
Your task is to reuse as much of the existing design as possible, in particular the mass and dimensions are to stay the same (wheels can be upgraded).

System elements:

- ac or dc motor, brushless preferred
- Battery packs (removable)
- Max speed limited to 20km/hr, payload 100kg, GVM 150kg

Deliverables:

Part (a) Draw a block diagram of the control system incorporating speed reference
Part (b) The system should incorporate adjustable Torque and speed limits, Regenerative braking in both directions and a charging system from external 240 ac supply and 12V 75W solar panel sources.
Part (c) Design the speed controller, charger and regenerative control system to meet C1.0 for forward, C5 for reverse operation and C10 for recharging. (all values are 1min average values)
(You may use a drawing package like Visio to draw the block diagram for neatness purposes)
