It is also a component of paint, lacquers, enamels and various fuels. It is used as a thinner in paints, lacquers, and enamels. It is a component of high octane motor fuels. Cumene is also used in rubber production, iron and steel processing and in the pulp and paper industry. II. DESIGN PROJECT SCOPE You are required to design a Cumene production plant. This includes conducting a feasibility analysis, a process simulation, equipment design, heat integration (pinch analysis and water pinch analysis), economic analysis, safety and environmental risk assessment. 70000 - 100000Mt/ Cumene per year from Benzene and Propylene.
