Background on the client: An adult client presents with the following:

• Frequent mood swings
• Episodic anxiety, anger, and dysphoria
• Periods of satisfaction, happiness and joy
• Difficulty with interpersonal relationships
• Periodic derealization disorientation, and confusion
• Feeling like an imposter in life

Known History:

• Parents divorced at age 7
• 1 biological sibling, 2 half-siblings
• Family history of alcoholism
• Paternal grandfather committed suicide before the client was born

Part One: Diagnosis In consideration of the presenting client,

1. Discuss at least THREE differential diagnoses might you consider.
2. Using the DSM-5-TR and current, evidence-based research, justify your diagnostic impressions. Consider
   1. what you see,
   2. what you don't see and
   3. what information is needed to solidify a diagnosis.
3. Be sure to include the cognitive, social, developmental, and biological aspects relevant to the client's presentation.
4. For the three diagnoses you are considering, do not list the criteria from the DSM-5-TR. Instead, write a synthesized analysis of how you believe the diagnosis is plausible given the DSM-5-TR criteria.

Part Two: Treatment

1. Develop a treatment plan for the presenting client in consideration of your diagnostic impressions.
2. Write a treatment plan for the client. Do not create a treatment plan for a diagnosis.
3. Be sure to include two evidence-based treatment models (e.g., Analytical, Humanistic-Existential, Cognitive-Behavioral, etc.) that you believe to be a clinically proficient intervention for your client (not a diagnosis).
4. Discuss what modality (in-person or virtual) you believe would best serve your client. Provide justification for your recommendation.
