Background The Canberra Rockets team plays in the Women's Basketball Association of Australia (WBAA). Many people think that Jenine Brown is Canberra's best player/worker, and is one of the best in the industry. A minority of experts think that Amy Dalton (AD) is emerging as the best player/worker on that team. One thing is for sure. Fast players usually earn extra money because they are so hard to find. AD is much faster than Jenine Brown. In fact, AD is the fastest player/worker in the whole league! But, Jenine has seven years of seniority, and Amy has only two, and in this industry, like many others, veterans tend to earn more. There are 10 players/workers on Canberra Rockets. That is a league rule. There must be exactly 10 players/workers per team. There is a salary ceiling in the WBAA. The maximum that a team can spend on player salaries is $750K per year. Thus, there is a hard ceiling! The minimum player/worker salary is $20K per year. Jenine Brown earns $240K per year and has a long-term, no-trade, no-release contract to get that salary every year! AD is currently earning $40K per year. AD is about to negotiate a new annual salary for next year and only next year. AD is under contract with Canberra for next year, but with salary to be determined. Jane Van Gundy (JVG), the coach & manager of the team, will negotiate on behalf of the employer, the Canberra Rockets. Only three other players are under contract for the upcoming year. They are veterans, but "bench-warmers", earning $95K, $65K, and $60K, respectively. Each of these three veteran workers can be released outright (i.e. fired). If that occurs, Canberra must pay them their full salary for the coming year, and 100% of that buyout counts against the salary ceiling, plus Canberra would have to replace them and pay another player's salary too

State what the correct annual salary was, in Task Three, for AD for the upcoming year, and briefly discuss why. That is, state the annual salary that the Arbitrator should have decided on, and briefly describe why that was the correct amount.
