Background
The Share-A-Bull Bikes program, operated by Campus Recreation at the University of South Florida
(USF), is a service in which bicycles are made available for shared use on a short-term basis on the
USF Tampa campus. The program allows people a healthy, enjoyable, and emission-free way to
travel across campus free from the worries of ownership.
This program provides 100 bikes distributed across campus where each bike has a GPS system so
students can locate them through a smartphone app or website. The system also provides students
the security code to unlock individual bikes and then secure them to any USF bike rack. This gives
students the convenience of picking up and dropping off a bike close to their campus destination.
Bikes are available year-round with the exception of the official campus closing in December.
