Bahrain University decides to use a library management system to control all the operations in the library of the university. The system will not only reduce the workload of the librarians, who has to keep a record of all the books in the library manually but of the students also. Advance Librarian Software helps in keeping records of issued and available books in an accurate manner. The Library Management System is designed in such a way that it keeps the functioning of the library smooth and in order. It is user-friendly software. It helps in keeping track of the books, catalogues, magazines, etc. This system increases the efficiency of the librarian and better management of the library. It leads to an easy search for the desired book from the library. Project Goals: 1. To develop a library system that meets the needs of the students searching for any kind of books, papers, or magazines. 2. To ensure that the system is reliable and secure. 3. To improve communication between students and library staff. 4. The project should be started in the first week of November and finished within 3 months. According to the standard system development project, the process includes some major phases: - Project Planning - Gathering Requirements \& Analysis - Designing. - Coding or Implementation - Testing. - Deployment. - Maintenance. A. As the project manager of the given project, set the following points: 1. The working days are from Sunday to Thursday, Friday and Saturday are the off days. 2. The working time is from 10AM to 6PM. 3. National days and New year are an official holiday. 4. Modify the project options based on the previous points. B. Using MS project construct a Gantt chart by define and schedule the tasks noticing the following: 1. Set up the tasks that compose the project plan. (Don't exceed 15 tasks and 10 at minimum, the tasks should include Milestones, Summary tasks, Sub tasks, and Recurring tasks). 2. Set realistic durations for the tasks, in days or weeks .. etc. (According to the developing requirements). 3. Link the tasks appropriately. (Ensure that all tasks are linked in a logical manner from the start to the end of the project) a) Include one Start to Start and one Start to Finish task dependency. b) Add one lead time. c) Add one lag time. 4. Show the critical path of the project and explain your result. 5. Outline the tasks (WBS Code). 6. Show the Gantt chart diagram: a) The timescale of the chart must be viewed in "Days". b) The entire project chart view should be displayed in one sheet. 7. Show the Network diagram view for the project in one sheet (If possible). The team members involved in the project are from different places. They could be divided into two types of members: the Bahrain University employees and Tech company (technology solutions company). Determine the resources that you need to do the project work by considering the following: 1. The resources should include the following types: a. 6 Work resources (People and Equipment). b. 2 Material resources. c. 2 Cost resources. d. Set up the currency in BHD. 2. Estimate the resources units required. Don't oyerestimate. 3. Estimate variable cost rates for all resources. Don't oyerestimate. 4. The Bahrain University assigned 5000BD as an extra cash to be recorded under the coding or implementation phase. 5. Provide different groups, and group by the resources according to their resource groups. 6. Provide the resource sheet view. 7.
