BAN 200 Group Project

The goal of this project is to demonstrate your ability to analyze text data and interpret the outcome of your analysis for the best interest of the business.

Project requirements:

1. Select a text based dataset. This dataset may include text only or a combination of numeric and text data.
2. Identify the goal of your analysis (what business problem you are trying to solve) Ensure all topics learnt as demonstrated
3. Apply data cleansing and data preparation techniques to your data(DTM, Tokenization, Vader)
4. Explore your data and try to identify topics and relationships among documents and terms
5. Analyze the data. The analysis can be focused only on text (e.g., sentiment analysis) or combines text with numbers (e.g., predicting a target variable using text and numeric variables)
6. Interpret your findings. What do your results mean to the business?
7. Visualize your results

Deliverables:

A power point presentation that describes:

1. The problem you are solving
2. The dataset you are using to solve the problem
3. Transformations you made to your data (stemming, synonyms,...)
4. The analysis you did
5. How your analysis benefits the business.
