BAN 310: Sports Analytics Project There will be a final project for the course (see the syllabus for point value when calculating your final grade). You must complete the final project on your own. You should start working on your project BEFORE that last day of the course! For your project you will: o Choose a Sport. o Select an interesting topic within the sport and define your "purpose" for the project. o Find a datafile with: At least 3 (not more than 30) independent variables and ONE continuous (quantitative) dependent variable (the dependent variable must relate to your purpose). At least 300 rows of data. Include a reference for your data so I can verify your data is valid. Use a technique you have learned in this course to analyze the data. Experiment with the data (mine the data) Draw conclusions from your analysis. Write a (maximum of) 3 (8 X 11) page summary of your project. o The Paper will be NO MORE than 3 pages and include: Title Purpose Data (describe the variables and where you got the data) Analysis you
