Banco De Oro (BDO) borrowed a loan of P10,000,000 from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on January 1, 2019. BDO should be paying the principal of P2,000,000 plus its 10% interest annually for five years which shall be due every December 31. BDO was able to pay the required principal and interest for the first two years. However, BDO was not able to pay the required payments at the end of the third year. The unpaid principal was P6,000,000 plus P600,000 accrued interest. The projected cash flows was P6,000,000 with total present value of P4,815,800. Compute for the impairment loss of BSP related to this loan to BDO.
