This plan will be used throughout the next six months, so it would be nice to get it right. You currently have 9 tellers on staff (4 full- time and 5 part-time). You may need to hire and train some new part-time tellers. Hiring and training new tellers is always a demanding process. The staffing requirements and constraints are summarized below: 1. Part-time workers work four-hour shifts only, including at most two consecutive shifts if necessary. Full-time workers must work eight-hour shifts Monday -Friday and four-hour shifts on Saturdays 2. Shifts can begin at any even hour of the day, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, etc. 3. Weekly schedules must include at least the contract hours for each teller (40 hours for full timers and 32 hours for part-timers but cannot exceed more than the contract hours plus 4 hours for both part-time and full-time workers. 4. The bank is open from 8:00 am -6:00 pm Monday -Friday and from 8:00 am 2:00 pm on Saturdays. 5. At least one full-time employee must be on duty at all times. +U 6.
