Below, chart out a well labelled visual of a Perceptual Map for the "Charged" product and provide Niko and Luka and overview of the position and differentiation of their product versus that of the competitors. Include the unique selling proposition that they could leverage as they go to market.(15 Marks)

Case Study:

Niko and Luka are two ardent exercise fanatics. They spend countless hours in the gym every week. As friends they workout and train together and provide each other with motivation and encouragement to reach their personal goals. They also converse about nutrition and the importance of a good diet and incorporating supplements and protein powders in their weekly routine. Niko has a background in chemistry and Luka has a degree in sciences. The two decided to create their own line of protein powder given that they spend several dollars monthly on protein and find that many powders are too over-priced and do not help to achieve the desired results.

As much as they are great in the gym and sciences they do NOT have any sales or marketing expertise and that's why they have come to YOU !

They have no idea how much to charge, where to sell it and how to develop awareness of their product. Typically, they would buy protein powder at Popeye's or GNC but they do not know if it meets the key spots where fitness freaks usually buy supplements. The most expensive product out there is Forever Pumped which sells at $90 for a 3 lbs pail and the cheapest brand called GROW sells for $60 for a 3lbs pail. Mega-Mass has dominated the market for nearly 20 years and is available for $85 (3.5L pail). Niko and Luka want to name their product "Charged". They have described their product to you as being able to promote muscle growth and weight loss and that know their product has the essential vitamins and compounds with several flavours; chocolate, vanilla , banana, and strawberry. Again, you must consider they DO NOT KNOW - what the price should be once it goes to market not do they know the ideal format ie (3lbs , 3.5 lbs or 4 lbs pail).
