Based on the following information define interval type of data used in quantitative research. Provide an example , and Identify interval type of quantitative data that can be used with this form of statistics (parametric and non-parametric). Interval data relates to "identity (+) magnitude (+) equal intervals." Interval data is numerical and the difference between two values is meaningful. The scale is made of equal units so that the distance between points is the same across the scale. This allows you to know how much greater or lesser one value is from the others. Interval data can go below zero. Everyday Example: temperature Identity = degrees; Magnitude = -10 F is 40 degrees colder than 30 F; Equal Interval = degrees Last night there was a huge rainstorm at the track. At race time, there's still 2 inches of water on the track. That means mud, and Kentucky Blaze loves mud! Identity = water level; Magnitude = 2 inches; Equal Intervals = inches
