Task: Analyzed data and respond the following questions:
SumOfRetailPrice SumOfSumOfCost ask: ANALYZE the Data - As a group, DISCUSS the data that you have collected. Look for trends. Come to agreement and understanding of the insights that you have gleaned from the data. Decide on the areas on which you plan to focus your discussion and recommendations. - Create a new Excel file named GroupNumber_BUS220_FA22.xIsx. Use this Excel file to gather and further manipulate and analyze the data gathered in the various queries that you created. - Write additional queries as necessary to examine the data. - Create charts that appropriately illustrate the data and display those trends over time, or between services/items. - ALL of the following areas (services sold, items sold, building purchase, and marketing) are REQUIRED to be analyzed. - Note: The queries that you wrote in Access and the analyses that you do in Excel are your "research". You will submit these files for project grading purposes, but the client will not see these files. Use Access and Excel to analyze the services offered and items sold by the grooming salon and make recommendations to the business owners based on your analysis. This should involve writing additional queries to extract data and creating charts to display the data in a meaningful way. Do not simply summarize the data. Use these questions as a guide to get you started. These should NOT be the only questions that you answer or suggestions that you make. Your analysis should include more than this. a. Which items or services are the most and least sold? b. How much income is generated by each individual item or service? All items or services? c. How much profit is generated by each item or service? d. Are there items or services that the salon should consider no longer offering? Justify your answer. e. Are there additional items or services that the salon might consider offering? Justify your suggestion. f. Is there room in the profit margins to lower prices (on specific items or services, on all items or services) for the purpose of generating more sales? Would a lower price but more sales generate a greater profit? Is there a point where more sales might not be profitable?
